I got in touch with Ranjit Deshpande, the guy whom I mentioned in my previous posting, after nearly 4 years. He had a message posted on our college alumni website
and I immediately sent him an email. Within a couple of hours I got his response and he also added me on to his Yahoo Messenger list. Well it was hard to believe that he is responsible these days as he leads a team, which also has girls in it and has cut down on this '(mis)adventures/projects’, he was know for!
Also another pal of mine, Shashi, mailed me from Brisbane, Australia stating that he now goes to school there and is working on his Masters. Now that would surely help me in planning my planned visit to ‘Down Under’ later this year!
1.40 am Sunday Feb 16th, am on my bed watching DDLJ for the nth time. I watched it this time to forget the 'pain' of Australia thrashing India. I couldn't get over this the whole Saturday. Will Indian cricket team ever be as professional as the Aussie cricket team?
DDLJ always makes me nostalgic. I still remember the week before Diwali I watched it on the very first day of its release in 1995 along with pals Ranjit Deshpande, Guneet Singh Walia......... and went back to the dorm on an open truck we waylaid on a highway while it was raining. Those good old carefree days! Miss them all.......Was so impressed with the movie I was there at the theatre 'Maruthi' again the same week.
