ABCD – well most of us would know what this acronym stands for. 'Ungreatfuls', is how Outlook has termed these kinda guys/gals who are more confused err arrogant, as I would call them and above all reside in India. Am sure the ABCD’s here would be more knowledgeable than these 'Ungreatfuls'.

Am off to Ann Arbor for this weekend. See ya guys next week.

Well a few weeks back I mentioned about American slang, well Bangalore has slang of its own, which of course has new additions every couple of years. The Kannada used in Bangalore may surprise many from the interior Karnataka. Well here is a comprehensive and may be the latest list of ‘non’ Kannada words used in Bangalore. Colloquial Kannada, don’t be surprised if there are a few words from other South Indian Languages in this list.

With cricket taking center stage in every other discussion we Indians have, we often tend to forget about our national sport, field hockey. Well India of late has been performing pretty well at the Champions Trophy and have beat Pakistan today. Catch with this action in English (video clippings too)CT2002.com. Hope India makes it to the finals.

I have always been a fan of Sony’s inventions be it the Walkman or its Trinitron or its new PDA Clie. Well Sony’s new goody Net-Connected Hard-Disk Video Recorder is another mind-blowing one. Anyone closer!!

Phew! That’s a lot of work – would most likely be the expression of someone with a normal workload but is returning from a 4-day vacation. Well, so was mine.

Had a ball of a time with my cousins, uncle and my year old ever-hyperactive nephew, Sri ‘Dude’ Vatsa at Baltimore. This dude has immense amount of energy and almost everyone at his disposal when awake. Was to my old habit of watching Indian channels on television until early morning and waking up late.

New York City, many including me, would have imagined it not to be the same city after September 11th. Well it was the same city I read about and watch on television. People of different origins could be found everywhere. I have not seen New York City with the World Trade Center. Hopefully would sometime in near future would see a brand new WTC, taller than those that existed.

The Week, has as usual done a good job in getting this article, A YEAR AFTER SEPTEMBER 11, on September 11th and some Indians who went thru the incident from close quarters.
